The twice-impeached, criminally convicted felon-in-chief, Donald “The Con” Trump, just signed a new executive order to boost excellence and innovation at our nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, or HBCUs.
The order moves the White House Initiative on HBCUs right into the President’s Executive Office, signaling a push to make these schools a bigger priority.
The plan promises to build stronger partnerships with private companies, help HBCUs compete for more federal research dollars, and prepare students for high-growth careers in fields like tech, healthcare, and finance.
A new presidential advisory board will also guide the work, bringing together leaders from business, philanthropy, and education, including current HBCU presidents.
However, the executive order is not committing new federal funding. Previous Trump-era initiatives, including the FUTURE Act, secured permanent annual funding for HBCUs during his first term.Join this channel to get access to perks:
