Kouka is a Franco-Congolese painter. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts and is the grandson of expressionist painter Francis Gruber. Kouka’s study ideas surrounding the essence of Man and Identity are developed via various kinds of portraiture.
His art is distinguished by the expressiveness and spontaneity of his gestures, which willingly disclose flaws, errors, and drips. His paintings use graffiti codes to go closer to the centre of his investigation of the image’s condition.
