Leonel aka glitchofmind creates his works using a combination of photography, 3D objects, digital painting, and animation as an afro-surrealist artist.
He uses dream language symbolism and a Renaissance-inspired style to explore narrative with themes of self-discovery in his artworks.
In 2020, his portraiture work led him to collaborate with activist Naomie Pieters on a project called Black Queer Love, in which he created a series of intimate portraits of the black queer community in the Netherlands.
The portraits were then displayed in various locations.
Since 2021, Leonel has been a part of the NFT (crypto art) movement as GlitchOfMind, animating his artworks in a 2.5D style, which has led to him exhibiting at the Bitcoin Conference 2021Miami and various Metaverse virtual galleries.
