Christiana is a Canadian immersive artist who works in Toronto. She is now pursuing a media studies and studio art undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto.
Surreal and daring are two words that come to mind when describing her art. Colors that are bright and vibrant are frequently used in her art. Her colour scheme is influenced by anime, cartoons, and African wax print cloth. Her painting frequently features black bodies in nature and space. Escapism, fantasy, and nature’s therapeutic effects are common themes in her writing. Her art has a humorous tone to it that makes you feel like you’ve entered a pocket universe.
Art has always been a method for her to articulate what she couldn’t say verbally. It’s her method of getting away from all the horrible and dangerous things in her life.
